more photos from bike two

jh

well looks like the wire nut and masking tape bandit has hit the loom
Important note this is a 150mm shell (mach1 ... hmm)
if you can peel your eyes from the red sharpie custom paint work that's a SSI29 carb on a Monza motor.
well the person I consider the Guru had ID the front brake to be from a Honda 350 so I would guess these to be honda shocks to boot
I just need to get this other engine from the guy and I'll be all set, what carb came with a velocity stack like this?

dm250 90011

well this is how she looked when I picked her up
I was most happy with the fact that it had the one tool box I needed since mine had stress cracks in it that were opened up at the Giro this year
The faded decal says Daytona 250, and I like the paint layout on this better than what
I currently have
If you have a good eye do you think this is the correct mach 1 front fender?
The one sticker of note is triangle motorcycle parts in chicago on the tank ... any history?
Note to self: keep all red sharpie markers way from duc singles

last batch of Mach 1 shots

amazing is the fact that the mach 1 has a 26mm carb from a touring bike that has a very odd drip tray set up for the remote float bowl - one nice touch is the air cleaner has all the writing still on it

A great shot showing the home made heel toe shifter made out of a rearset shift arm

nice rear sets and don't you love the batery box/ tool box combo?
yup I need to get that kick starter off
key is that there are all the brackets for the proper tin
check back tommorrow for the "better bike"

15 / 8 / 7 / 5

been in the house for 5 years
we have been married for seven as of the 29th (we ate dinner before we said grace)
had the twins 8 years ago
and we met 15 years ago at a scorpion bowl party in college on the 31st
life is good

what are these from??

Okay race fans
what are these brakes off of
much larger than your typical Single duck brake, but very narrow
don't want clip ons, rather the easy rider ape hanger look - spacers for the forks!
and if you have a weak stomach for the ham fisted harley hammer please look away
the tech here is a soft piece of Brass between the unknown kick starter lever and the kicker splines - see I warned you

ready to ring a ding-ding

engine together
love the pipes and might need to get a different seat
battery charging
need to get two fuel filters and fuel line
time the sucker
and smoke out the garage

DM250M1 01336

this is fresh from the barn
few things of note:
Check out the square section header and what I think is a muffler from a sportster.
Seller thought the cross bar was highway peg setup, I think it was for a race fairing ... what do you think.
Nice try with the heal toe shifter made from the rear set shift arm.
This is a prime example of when people do damage to classics
I will be adding many more photos and info over the next few days

sunday afternoon

oil pump side

clutch side

I have bling

and a few hours sunday morning

Buffed up the clutch case and installed every thing as needed, two dowel pins, a new gasket, and the little dowel in the release push screw.

Flipped her over and put the rotary cover, my oils pump blanking plate and outer left crank case cover.

I had the wrist pins, needle bearings, and the pison cir clips in a baggy in the freezer since I got them at dougs last summer.
They slipped right in like butter.
Okay, the base gaskets does not fit they look like they must be from a 350, here we go
Screw the coffee get me a woodpecker
